Description: An old wagon road that twists through the heart of old-growth redwood forest and provides access to Mill Creek and several hiking trails. Watch for American Dipper, Common Merganser or Osprey from the bridge over Mill Creek. Look and listen for tiny Winter Wren, Swainson’s or Varied Thrush along the densely wooded roadside. May see or hear Marbled Murrelet, Barred Owl, Pileated Woodpecker, Vaux’s Swift, Gray Jay, Wilson’s Warbler, Pacific-slope Flycatcher, Golden-crowned Kinglet, and Chestnut-backed Chickadee. |
